There is something undeniably chic about keeping things simple.

The Basics Collection began with a love for timeless black and white, vintage French sportswear, and the effortless confidence of pieces that never need to try too hard. We wanted to create a collection that felt familiar but still distinctly Café Après. Classic enough to wear on repeat, with thoughtful details that make each pair feel anything but ordinary.

The inspiration came from the quiet beauty of everyday life: striped café awnings, old editorial photographs, handwritten menus, well-loved athletic uniforms, and the contrast of crisp white against deep black. It is a palette that feels polished, nostalgic, and endlessly wearable.

But basics should never mean basic.

Each style was designed with the same elevated construction and performance features found throughout our collections, including breathable details, supportive arch compression, cushioning through the foot, and our signature full-foot grip. They are made to move with you from an early Pilates class to the coffee stop afterward and everywhere the day takes you.
